Our story for the tiny footprints gala

We recorded our story for the Tiny Footprints Fundraising Gala.

Tiny Footprints was started in 2016 by co-founders Kristina and Jen. The loss of Kristina’s daughter, Riley, is the inspiration behind this foundation. The purpose of this organization is to ‘raise awareness and promote conversations of loss to reduce the stigma surrounding pregnancy and infant loss.’ 

Every year they plan a fundraising gala, for which the funds raised are to help ‘sustain and enhance the programs in Calgary for parents and families that have faced the tragedy of pregnancy and/or infant loss.’ 

This year we had the pleasure of being a part of the gala by recording a video about our story. The video was played at the most recent gala on October 15, 2022, and is now available on the Tiny Footprints YouTube channel. It’s not easy to share our story so openly and to be so vulnerable, but it’s so worth it. We always want to talk about our Son, Zade, and continue to honor him in everything we do. We hope to inspire other loss parents to talk about their stories as well.

The video was filmed and recorded by Joel, at Roadwest Pictures, who was an absolute pleasure to work with.
